straight back at ya!

Sometimes when you want something and work for obtain this certain thing. You face something similar to a brick wall. You could say it is like throwing a tennis ball against the side of this wall, at first it will bounce back and your throws will come back to you. Even with a higher altitude and velocity than you threw with in the first place. After a while the ball starts to fade in speed and you will only get back exactly what you threw. The ball will repeat your throw in your direction. Howwever, after a certain amount of time the ball will stop ejecting back from the wall and fall dead flat on the pavement below. Doesn't matter how hard you throw but the ball will not bounce back. What do one do? Especially when the desire to find a new brick wall is equal to zero, I suppose it is just required to throw harder and harder.
